Phnom Penh (FN), May 1 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen responded to a Chinese-language newspaper in Malaysia not to worry about the traffic congestion and the accommodation of the athletes.

The premier spoke on Monday afternoon (May 1) during the meeting with Cambodian athletes ahead of the 32nd SEA Games’ Opening Ceremony at the Peace Palace.

"I would like to announce to the Chinese-language newspapers in Malaysia that Cambodia’s transportation is well-prepared, so do not worry about traffic congestion," the premier underscored.

Samdech continued, the people of Phnom Penh were very dignified during the ASEAN Summit as well as relevant partners. None of the delegations experienced traffic congestion, so the newspaper should correct their publication.

Premier Hun Sen added, "I can guarantee your safety and time of the game."

The 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia will take place from 5-17 May 2023. The 12th ASEAN Para Games in Cambodia will begin from 3-9 June 2023.
