Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 25 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said that he granted a new school building, an office and a teacher's housing for Hun Sen Chrey Hor Pnov High School in Veal Commune, Kong Pisey District, Kampong Speu Province at the request of Yim Sinan’s father-in-law.

The premier spoke at a graduation ceremony at National Institute of Education on Tuesday (Apr 25).

According to the premier, Yim Sinan's father-in-law is a teacher at Hun Sen Chrey Hor Pnov High School, who has always voted for the Cambodian People’s Party, despites Sinan being in the opposition.

Premier Hun Sen said, "Yim Sinan’s father-in-law is a teacher who teaches more than 900 students, but the school has only 10 rooms [...] Yesterday, at his request, I gave him a three-story building with 30 classrooms, an office building with a library, and a two-story teacher’s housing with 20 rooms.”

At the same time, Samdech also pointed out that at present, an old school building is difficult to repair while the number of students is increasing. Therefore, the school must be upgraded.

On that occasion, Samdech hoped that there will be joint cooperation on development of education for Cambodia, and he also called on humanitarian assistance to help build teachers' housing.
