Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 20 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen praised the tireless efforts of the doctors, local authorities, police officers, and armed forces who were on duty during the Khmer New Year celebration.

The premier spoke at an inauguration of the Maternity Building of the National Children Hospital, held on Thursday morning (Apr 20) at the hospital.

"Our police officers and armed forces did not reunite with their spouses and children like us. They had a responsibility to maintain security for our happiness. In addition, some doctors also were on duty to take care of patients. We need to appreciate their tireless efforts and not criticize them for their minor mistakes,” the premier underscored.

Samdech also thanked the efforts of local authorities, police officers, armed forces, and other stakeholders for offering health care, security, safety, and public order for citizens nationwide.
