Siem Reap (FN), Apr. 14 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen wanted Guinness World Records to consider a population proportion of future country who intends to break Cambodia's largest display for origami hearts record.

The premier spoke at the opening ceremony of Angkor Sankranta, held on Friday (Apr 14) in Siem Reap province.

"For example, a country with bigger population than Cambodia would beat the kingdom in the next record. Therefore, I think the Guinness World Record should consider the proportion of the population,” the premier underscored.

On 11 April 2023, Cambodia broke the Guinness World Records for the largest display of nearly four million origami hearts, beating the United Kingdom's record of over 50,000 origami hearts.
