Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 10 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen reaffirmed the Royal Government's efforts in offering tax and customs incentives to support the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the kingdom.

The premier spoke during his sodality dinner with SMEs members on Monday (Apr 10) at Diamond Island.

“Regarding the taxes, the Royal Government has prepared laws and regulations to offer tax incentives to SMEs registered voluntarily [with the ministry] and to SMEs in priority areas. Regarding the customs, the Royal Government has adopted tax policies and customs incentive mechanisms to reduce production costs and increase the competitiveness for SMEs," the premier underscored.

Samdech added that the Royal Government has been working to improve the efficiency of SMEs by introducing the business registration system on information technology platform, an online payment platform, e-filling tax declaration, and so on.
