Tbong Khmum (FN), Apr. 3 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen asked foreign countries whether they wanted to choose Cambodia or an outlawed group who committed illegal acts and punished by the laws.

The premier spoke at the inauguration of Krouch Chhmar District Referral Hospital, held on Monday (Apr 3) in Tbong Khmum Province.

"Foreign countries should choose between Cambodia as a country and an outlawed group who breached the laws. If you [foreign countries] choose the outlawed group, you can consider ending diplomatic mission to Cambodia," the premier underscored.

“You [foreign country] intervened in our domestic affairs and instructed us [Cambodia] to respect the law, and divide the power of the legislature, the executive, and the judiciary. However, you interfered in the court process and forced the Royal Government or government officials to intervene in the court's decision. In this sense, on the one hand, you come to instruct me. On the other hand, you come to oppress me," the premier added.

Samdech also emphasized that few days ago during the official visit to Cambodia by Malaysian prime minister Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, Anwar said that "superpowers should stop interfering in the domestic affairs of other countries".

Samdech expressed his support for Anwar’s remarks and stated that Samdech has another good partner from ASEAN countries.
