Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 27 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen shared four recommendations when he presided over Iftar dinner with Malaysian prime minister Dato' Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim on Monday evening at OCIC, Phnom Penh.

In order to promote freedom of religion and the sustainability of harmony in Cambodia, the premier shared four views as follows:

1. The Royal Government of Cambodia promotes freedom of religion and belief, promotes the harmony of religious harmony and peace, which is an important and indispensable factor for all national development and economic and social prosperity of Cambodia.

2. The Ministry of Cults and Religions and the competent authorities at all levels must work together to facilitate religious practices, closely cooperate with religious leaders and communities based on the principles of religious harmony, and facilitate the construction of mosques in villages with a large Muslim population according to actual needs.

3. The Cambodian Islamic Supreme Council must strengthen and expand national and international cooperation to mobilize both technical and financial assistance to contribute to the improvement of the livelihood of the Khmer Muslim community through the development of human capital, in particular receiving and transferring of technology and innovation to the Khmer Muslim community.

4. Highly encourages Muslims to strictly adhere to the sacred principles of Ramadan and to encourage participation in promoting racial and religious harmony in Cambodia through the establishment of good relations, solidarity and non-discrimination.
