Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 27 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said that the Royal Government had granted full freedom of religion without discrimination. In fact, Khmer Muslim students are allowed to wear their traditional clothes at all levels of educational institutions and public worship sites are set up everywhere.

The premier spoke during Iftar dinner with Malaysian prime minister Dato' Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim on Monday evening at OCIC, Phnom Penh.

"The Royal Government always promotes freedom of religion and belief, promotes the harmony of religious harmony in Cambodia by offering convenience for all religious practices and resolutely opposing religious discrimination. As a result, religious conflicts or wars have never occurred in the modern history of Cambodia. The kingdom is recognized and appreciated by the international community for its religious harmony," the premier underscored.
