Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 27 – Malaysian prime minister Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim requested Cambodia to further promote Malaysia's Halal industry.

Anwar spoke during a joint press conference with premier Hun Sen, on the outcomes of the bilateral meeting, on Monday (Mar. 27) at the Peace Palace.

"Our discussions touched on various issues, including trade and investment, which noted as the priority issues in our bilateral relations. Other issues raised by premier Hun Sen on the halal industry that Malaysia is developing offer an opportunity for Malaysia and Cambodia to use this sector to encourage and facilitate exports to overseas countries such as the Western countries," Anwar underscored.
