Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 27 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen requested Malaysia to support the construction of new subsea cables under a green energy trade project between Cambodia and Singapore.

The premier spoke during a joint press conference with Malaysian prime minister Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim on the outcomes of the bilateral meeting, on Monday (Mar. 27) at the Peace Palace.

Premier Hun Sen stated, "in the field of energy, I have asked the prime minister to support the green energy trade project between Cambodia and Singapore, particularly the construction of new subsea cables, which cross the Malaysian water. The Malaysian prime minister said the Singaporean prime minister also raised this matter.”

Samdech added that this is a good progress and cooperation among countries.
