Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 15 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen called on the national and international community to continue to support policies designed to ensure the rights of people with disabilities.

The premier spoke at the opening ceremony of the 5th Asia-Pacific Community-based Inclusive Development Congress, held on Wednesday (Mar 15) at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.

Premier Hun Sen said, "I called on the national and international community to continue to work together to implement the Sustainable Development Goals on Persons with Disabilities, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the Incheon Strategy to ensure the rights of people with disabilities.”

On that occasion, the premier also raised the current challenges of public health, economy, and geopolitics that seriously affect people's lives, especially the disabled and the vulnerable.
