Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 6 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen underlined that Cambodia has gone through countless of wars, killing millions of people, so the kingdom will not tolerate any activities that are intended to destroy the kingdom’s peace.

The premier spoke at a graduation of nearly 2,000 students of Institute of New Khmer, held on Monday (Mar 6) at the OCIC, Phnom Penh.

"Cambodia was a tragic territory that you, in the past, have caused the destruction and war on," the premier said. "Hopefully, you will not again provoke the color revolution to destroy peace in our country and re-create war.”

Samdech continued, "for those who are not Khmer, please do not pretend to love Cambodia more than Khmer people do.”

The premier also reminded his compatriots that “when Khmer people die, foreigners do not come to die with Khmer; instead they run away from us and leave us in a difficult situation. However, when there is peace, they come and raise up some various issues, yet they never understand our concerns related to peace and war."

Premier Hun Sen expressed hope that what he said above could be a warning to foreigners not to make a third mistake, as some countries were claiming to be the father of democracy, but already made two mistakes on this unfortunate country.

The first mistake was that while calling oneself a democratic country, they supported a military coup in Phnom Penh in 1970, a coup that paved the way for Pol Pot genocidal regime.
The second mistake was that they supported the Khmer Rouge seat at the United Nations for more than 12 years, from 1979 to 1991, ignoring the suffering and deaths of the Cambodian people.
