Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 20 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen revealed that French president Emmanuel Macron asked him to remain in office for another three to four years in order to support Cambodian-French relations.

The premier spoke at the graduation ceremony of nearly 2,000 students of Human Resource University, held on Monday morning (Feb 20) at OCIC, Phnom Penh.

The working meeting between premier Hun Sen and Macron at that time was a prior request from the French side and president Macron also hosted a banquet for him at the Élysée Palace, the premier added.

Samdech continued, he also had a good brotherhood with Macron.

On that occasion, premier Hun Sen also underlined that in addition to the relationship between the government and the government, personal contacts have been exchanged between both leaders, including telephone calls, messages and so on.
