Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 20 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen underlined that VOD’s misleading news that Hun Manet signed aid agreement to Turkiye on behalf of the premier was a serious and unforgivable mistake that insults and cause chaos in the Royal Government’s internal affairs.

The premier spoke at the graduation ceremony of nearly 2,000 students of Human Resource University, held on Monday morning (Feb 20) at OCIC, Phnom Penh.

"This is not only an attack on Manet, but also an insult to the Royal Government with an intention to destroy the trust among the government, and a serious violation of the budget law that we cannot tolerate," said the premier.

Samdech continued, "should I, as the prime minister and the father, accept this insult? This radio will be not reinstated at any cost.”

Regarding the provision of foreign aid, Samdech stated that in Cambodia, the National Budget Law must be complied with, which allows only the prime minister has the right, aided by the minister of economic and finance.”

On 13 February 2023, Cambodian Ministry of Information announced to revoke the license of the Cambodian Center for Independent Media (CCIM), which is the VOD's broadcast management center.
