Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 17 – The Russian Federation has announced its readiness for military cooperation with Cambodia in the event that the kingdom needs experience and techniques in this field.

Deputy military attaché Col Sergei Shumilin spoke in a press briefing on the foreign policy of the Russian Federation, held on Friday morning (Feb 17) at the Russian Embassy in Cambodia.

Colonel Sergei Shumilin said, "if Cambodia needs any military assistance from Russia, we are ready to provide when we receive an official letter [from the Cambodian side]."

The colonel asserted that the Russian Federation currently upholds cooperation in the field of military and military technology with many countries, who are in need of Russian assistance and experience.

The Russian armed forces are ranked the second strongest military power in the world, colonel Sergei Shumilin added.
