Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 16 – Cambodian army commander lieutenant general Hun Manet posted a new video clip on Thursday recalling the story of the US ambassador asking him what is the legacy of Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen.

"The US ambassador met with me and asked, what is the legacy of Samdech during his leadership?" Manet recalled.

“Peace, happiness, and prosperity of the people are his legacy,” Manet replied.

Both were sitting on the 10-floor restaurant at Sofitel Hotel near Bassac River and Manet pointed out the aspects of development and progress surrounding Diamond Island, the bustling city, and the Japan-invested AEON Mall, while reiterating that "peace and development are the legacy of Samdech”.

Manet further continued that the premier’s legacy will not be destroyed.

"Samdech Hun Sen has built today’s achievement over the past 43 years from scratch. He, together with other leaders of the Cambodian People's Party, have sacrificed their flesh and blood to attain these achievements, especially peace."
