Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 25 – Cambodian secretary of state of the Ministry of Economy Vongsey Visoth said that although Cambodia does not have EBA and GSP preferences, exports are still growing subsequently.

Visoth spoke at a public forum on macroeconomic management and the Law on Finance for 2023 on Wednesday (Jan 25).

In this regard, Visoth also mentioned what Cambodian prime minister pointed out that Cambodia must be independent and develop its competitiveness. When Cambodia strives for equal competition without the need for favor, Cambodia becomes a self-reliant state, Visoth added.

It should be noted that from January to December 2022, Cambodia exported goods worth approximately USD22 billion, an increase of 16.4% compared to the same period in 2021.
