Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 23 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said that remunerating salary through banking system for civil servants and the armed forces will ensure the security of cash delivery and reduce corruption.

The premier spoke at a graduation ceremony for nearly 7,000 students on Monday (Jan 23) at OCIC, Phnom Penh.

"During the COVID19 outbreak, we have experienced digital transformation where people start using e-payment,” said the premier.

“Remunerating salaries for government officials through digital banking can be considered as a tool to solve issues of frauds and fight against corruption.”
