Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 28 – Cambodian minister of Justice Koeut Rith denied a petition made by four political parties, speaking in the 7th session of the National Assembly of the 6th legislature, held on Thursday (Jul 28).

"Political parties that submitted a petition to the National Assembly and stated that the 10th constitutional amendment has seriously affected the parliamentary regime, should have an in-depth study for better understanding about the formation of a government in the parliamentary system. Especially, they should study the system of constitutional monarchy adopted by other countries, such as the United Kingdom or Malaysia," Koeut Rith underlined.

The 10th constitutional amendment neither violates parliamentary power nor the parliamentary regime, the minister added.
