Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 21 – On 21 July 2022, Cambodian foreign minister Prak Sokhonn and Bruneian second foreign minister Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof had a meeting via videoconference to discuss about issues related to the upcoming 55th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting and related meetings as well as to touch base on further deepening of bilateral friendship as both countries are marking the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Cambodia and Brunei Darussalam.

"Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof reiterated full support of Brunei Darussalam to Cambodia’s ASEAN chairmanship in steering ASEAN through many monumental challenges of the world today. He shared his views on how to enhance dialogue partnerships between ASEAN and the United Kingdom and New Zealand, for which Brunei Darussalam is acting as the ASEAN Country-Coordinator. He also extended his strong encouragement to the untiring efforts of Prak Sokhonn, in his capacity as the special envoy of the ASEAN chair on Myanmar, and shared his views and thoughts on how ASEAN could further advance the implementation of the ASEAN Leaders’ Five Point Consensus," according to the outcomes seen by Fresh News on Thursday (Jul 21).
