Phnom Penh (FN), Jul 13 – Cambodian foreign minister Prak Sokhonn and visiting US assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel Kritenbrink shared during a meeting on 12 July 2022 the satisfaction vis-à-vis the fruitful outcomes of the Special ASEAN-US Summit that was co-chaired by president Joe Biden and Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen in his capacity as the ASEAN Chair this year in Washington, D.C. last May.

“Daniel Kritenbrink informed Prak Sokhonn that the objective of his first visit to Cambodia in his current position is to demonstrate the US commitment to support Cambodia’s ASEAN chairmanship and to enhance the bilateral relations with Cambodia. He conveyed secretary of state Tony Blinken’s reaffirmation of the US support for the success of the ASEAN Chairmanship of Cambodia,” according to the outcomes seen by Fresh News on Wednesday (Jul 13).
