Tbong Khmum (FN), Jun. 20 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen requested to set X16 Historic Site, located in Tbong Khmum’s Memot district, as a passport-free zone, speaking at the 45th anniversary of the liberation journey on Monday (Jun 20) at Cambodia-Viet Nam border.

"I would like to request both sides to review the possibility to setup X16 Historic Site as the passport-free zone for both citizens,” the premier underlined.

On this day 45 years ago, premier Hun Sen, at the age 25, along with his four comrades decided to leave X16 Historic Site to seek support from Viet Nam in order to liberate the country from the genocidal Khmer Rouge regime.
