Tbong Khmum (FN), Jun. 20 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said he agreed to setup more than 1,176 hectares of land in the X16 historic site to become a commercial and trade zone.

The premier spoke at the 45th anniversary of the liberation journey on Monday (Jun 20) at Cambodia-Viet Nam border.

"I have approved the allocation of over 1,176 hectares of land at X16 site to establish a commercial and trade zone, for this area is located near the Vietnamese port and is potential for processed agricultural products,” the premier underlined.

Samdech continued that he intended to transform the Cambodia-Viet Nam border to peace and development zones as well as want to establish international border at X16 historic site in the future.
