Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 13 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen urged communal councilors nationwide to work together regardless of which political parties they are coming from, speaking at the graduation ceremony of the students from the Royal School of Administration on Monday (Jun 13).

"Receiving 74 per cent of the total vote and occupying over 99 per cent of the commune chief positions and over 80 percent of the commune councilor positions are enough for the Cambodian People’s Party. I do not care which party you belong to. Let's work together and fight against COVID19," the premier underlined.

Samdech also called for vaccination and all medical treatment to be politically neutral.

Over 2,000 members from different political parties will join the ruling CPP as the commune council members and work together to fight against COVID19 and maintain peace and political stability.

On 6 June 2022, the National Election Committee (NEC) announced that 80.19 per cent of Cambodian registered voters casted a vote in the 5th mandate communal election.
