Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 7 – The Ekpheap Cheat Khmer Party issued a statement to support and recognize the 5th mandate communal election results although the party did not get any seat.

“Regarding the 5th mandate communal election, which took place on 5 June 2022, the Ekpheap Cheat Khmer Party believed that the National Election Committee (NEC) had a good communication, offered a comprehensive information and document to political parties since the registration process,” according to the statement seen by Fresh News on Tuesday (Jun 7).

The Party figured out that the national authorities involved in political affairs are highly aware and open to all political parties in competing with each other. However, some authorities in some areas had some restrictions and threats, yet there was no violence and no political assassination.

"Despite some shortcomings, the Ekpheap Cheat Khmer Party would like to support and recognize the results of the 5th mandate communal election, which took place on 5 June 2022,” the statement underlined.

The Ekpheap Cheat Khmer Party would also like to congratulate all the political parties who obtained seats in the 5th mandate communal election. The party hoped that those political parties will carefully serve and provide freedom to citizens in accordance with the law.
