Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 6 – The Cambodian Nationality Party confirmed that Cambodia’s 5th mandate communal election was held better in a better climate compared to previous mandates.

Cambodian Nationality Party stated that for this election, the party observed that the candidates’ registration process was good and acceptable and the election campaign was conducted smoothly with a good public order, non-threats and non-violence.

The party continued that during the election day, nearly 80 per cent of the registered voters casted a vote and during the post-election period, the citizens seemed very pleased with the election’s result.

The Cambodian Nationality Party would like to declare that this party will respect the will of the citizens and recognize this result with the utmost pleasure.

It is worth noting that at least 7.1 million people came to vote among the 9.2 million registered voters, an equivalent to 77.9 per cent, according to the National Election Committee.
