Davos (FN), May 25 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen announced to return home after successfully concluding the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on 22-26 May 2022, according to the special voice message received by Fresh News on Wednesday.

The premier expects to arrive Phnom Penh at 6 a.m on 26 May 2022.

Samdech expressed his deepest gratitude to Cambodian monks and citizens living in Europe who came to welcome and greet him in Zurich, showing support for the government led by the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP).

Samdech continued that he will travel to Brussels, Belgium to attend the meeting and celebrate the 45th anniversary of ASEAN-EU relations in late December 2022. In his capacity as the rotating chair of ASEAN, he will put efforts to promote ASEAN-EU cooperation and to meet with Cambodian compatriots living in the European countries.

In this special voice message, premier Hun Sen also briefed three good news happened in the kingdom as follows: (1) zero COVID19 case reported for 18 consecutive days while only 7 patients are being hospitalized; (2) receiving the SEA Games flag to host the 32nd SEA Games in 2023, Cambodia’s victory of more than 60 medals from SEA Games in Viet Nam; and (3) smooth and non-violence of electoral campaign.
