Phnom Penh (FN), May 23 – Spokesperson of the US Embassy in Phnom Penh Chad Roedemeier said that the US government continued to investigate on shoe-throwing incident involving Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen, which took place in Washington DC.

So far, it has been almost a week since the US launched an investigation on the incident.

On 19 May 2022, three FBI agents went to Ouk Touch's house to interrogate him regarding the incident.

On 11 May 2022, a Cambodian-American citizen Ouk Touch threw shoe at premier Hun Sen outside the meeting hall with supporters in Washington DC before the ASEAN-US Special Summit. Fortunately, the shoe did not hit him.

A Cambodian-American Ouk Chantha living in San Francisco told Fresh News through a telephone that according to the US authorities, Ouk Touch could be taken to the court in Washington as it was a location that the incident happened.
