Phnom Penh (FN), May 7 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen re-expressed his condolences over the loss of his elder brother Hun Neng.

The premier posted on his Facebook's page on Saturday (May 7).

"Elder brother, even though you passed away, your reputation has always been with the nation, the religion, and the king. A moment ago, our king paid tribute to you by appointedd as "Samdech Udom Tep Nhean Hun Neng". Do you remember? it was near your mortuary that you and I joined a demonstration against the coup and demanded the return of our late-king father on 23 March 1970. During that time, you were 20 years old and I was 18 years old,” the premier wrote on his Facebook page on Saturday.

“Our family ancestors have always been loyal to the king, to the throne and to the monarchy. I am confident that all of our next generation will follow our footsteps by safeguarding the monarchy, the king and the throne with loyalty," the premier added.

Earlier, Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni issued a royal decree appointed elder brother of Cambodian premier Hun Sen, Hun Neng, as Samdech Oudom Tep Nhean.
