Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 28 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said that he will meet with Cambodian citizens and students, who are living and studying in the United States and Switzerland, during his working visit to the two countries.

The premier spoke in a meeting with Cambodian athletes, held on Thursday (28 Apr) at Koh Pich, Phnom Penh.

“I will depart to the US on 10 May for the ASEAN-US Special Summit in Washington. I already accepted an invitation from the US president Joe Biden and confirmed my presence. Upon arrival, I will meet with Cambodian citizens there on 10-11 May,” the premier added.

Samdech continued, “Later on 20 May, I will depart to Switzerland. Upon my arrival on 21 May, I will meet with Cambodian citizens there. Although I will not participate in the upcoming election campaign, I should visit my people because I have not met them for two years due to COVID19.”

On 25 May 2022, Samdech and delegation will return to Cambodia to virtually attend Asia Future Forum with other head of states/governments.
