Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 27 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen praised the excellent growth of tax revenue and exports of Cambodia in the first three months of 2022, speaking at the closing ceremony of the annual meeting of Ministry of Education on Wednesday (27 Apr).

In the first three months of 2022, the General Department of Taxation collected more than 44 per cent of 2022 target, while Cambodia's exports also increased significantly in the first quarter of 2022, according to the premier.

The increase in tax revenue and exports is due to Cambodia's effective management of the kingdom’s socio-economic activities in the context of COVID19, the premier added.

On that occasion, premier Hun Sen also expressed concern over the ongoing global crisis, which could negatively affect the economy.
