Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 27 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said that Australia is ready to provide Pfizer vaccine to inoculate Cambodian children, which is expected to arrive in June 2022.

The premier spoke in the closing ceremony of the working results of the Ministry of Education on Wednesday (27 Apr).

If the donation is made under a bilateral framework, the premier will preside over the handover ceremony of the donation regardless of quantities.

According to premier Hun Sen, China has promised to provide another 15 million doses of COVID19 vaccine to Cambodia, and is expected to arrive by the end of 2022. In addition, the kingdom will also receive 7 million doses from the United States, while Poland is still considering.

The Royal Government of Cambodia will buy vaccines to inoculate her people against COVID19 at any cost, the premier added.

In the past, Australia has donated more than 2 million doses to assist Cambodia in the fight against COVID19.
