Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 27 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said that the “3 Dos and 3 Don’ts" preventive measures set by the Royal Government remain necessary even outdoor mask mandate was lifted.

The premier spoke in the closing ceremony of the working results of the Ministry of Education on Wednesday (27 Apr).

Samdech observed that people traveling on the streets continued to wear masks to protect themselves, despite outdoor mask mandate was lifted.

"If anything happens, we will return to mandatory mask-wearing. Therefore, the 3 Dos and 3 Don’ts is still necessary,” the premier underlined.

“Currently, we have only won small battles, so it is very important that we continue to control the COVID19 outbreak,” the premier added.

Samdech continued, Cambodia has not yet won over COVID19 as the disease still exists around the world, therefore the possibility of transmission may still exist in the kingdom.

"We have overcoming COVID19 Alpha and Delta variants. We are still fighting the Omicron variant and we are monitoring the situation,” the premier added.
