Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 7 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen expressed his gratitude for the fruitful results of the national peace and development in all sectors, which contributed to extending the average life expectancy of Cambodian people to over 70 years old.

The premier spoke in an inauguration ceremony of Cambodia-China Friendship Tbong Khmum Hospital on Monday.

"The average life expectancy of Cambodian people was only 56 years old in 1998, but now it is over 70,” the premier underlined.

Samdech continued, peace is a prerequisite to further promote the kingdom’s public welfare and the development in all sectors as well as the life expectancy of the people.

Cambodian medical team and doctors must be conscientious and professional to provide better healthcare services, the premier urged.
