Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 2 – Cambodian Ministry of Interior delisted National Heart Party from the list of political parties, according to a Prakas seen by Fresh News on Wednesday.

The announcement came after the Supreme Court held a hearing and announced the verdict in public on 24 December 2021.

On 16 November 2021, Ministry of Interior issued a letter to reject the request to register a new political party National Heart Party.

The Ministry of Interior decided to file a lawsuit against the party's founders for fraud, the ministry’s spokesperson Khieu Sopheak told Fresh News.

Sopheak said that during the examination and autopsy on the fingerprints of more than 4,000 party members, the Ministry of Interior found irregularities of the fingerprints.

The fingerprints of some individuals are different from the fingerprints in the identity card, some are stamped on the names of other people, some can not be autopsied, and a fingerprint of five individuals found on 21 individuals instead, the spokesperson added.
