Takeo (FN), Mar. 2 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen advised experts to study the raising of speed limit up to 100 km/hour on major roads, speaking in an inauguration ceremony for the official use of National Road No. 3 in Takeo province on Wednesday.

“Cambodia will soon have a highway connecting from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville with a speed limit of 120km/hour. Therefore, the current speed limit of 80km/hour seems slow. Experts shall review the possibility of raising speed limit for major National Road such as No. 3, No. 6, No. 5 and No. 1 to up to 100km/hour," the premier underlined.

Premier Hun Sen also praised the installation of speed cameras in ten locations along National Road No. 3 as it is able to detect and capture images of vehicles passing speed limit.
