Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 7 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said China will help the kingdom further expand National Road No. 7, which connects O’Kreang commune, Kratie province to Trapaingkriel International Border Checkpoint in Stung Treng province.

The premier spoke in an inauguration ceremony for the official use of China-aided National Road No. 7 rehabilitation project in Kratie province on Monday.

“China still has two tasks to do for Cambodia. First, is to expand and upgrade National Road No. 7 to Cambodia-Laos border, and the second is to organize the groundbreaking of the construction of the bridge connecting Kratie to Kampong Thom province, which will be held in 2023,” the premier underlined.

COVID19 cannot hinder the kingdom’s infrastructure development thanks to our development partners like China, Japan and South-Korea, the premier added.
