Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 1 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen has agreed to Japan’s request to solve flood issues in Stung Prek Tnoat.

The premier told president of Japan-Cambodia Association Takahashi Fumaiki during a courtesy call at the Peace Palace on Tuesday, according to premier's personal secretary Eang Sophalleth.

The premier has recommended minister of water resources and meteorology Lim Kean Hor and relevant institutions to work with the Japanese side to conduct studies on Stung Prek Tnoat flood avoidance project.

Stung Prek Tnaot flows from the Aural Mountain in Kampong Speu province to Kandal province and the capital Phnom Penh.
