Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 26 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen met with Myanmar’s senior general Min Aung Hliang on Wednesday via videoconference to further discuss Myanmar’s crisis.

On 25 January 2022, premier Hun Sen underlined that Myanmar's senior general Min Aung Hlaing will be invited to the ASEAN Summit if there is a positive progress on the implementation of the ASEAN’s five-point consensus; and if not, the senior general shall send a non-political Myanmar representative to the meeting.

“Myanmar crisis is complicated, which cannot be resolved in a few days. It takes times. The ceasefire, the cessation of violence and the humanitarian assistance are important things to be addressed, especially providing humanitarian relief to Myanmar without discrimination,” the premier added.
