Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 18 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen announced to insert 29 December, the anniversary of Win-win Policy, as national day but not a public holiday, according to the circular seen by Fresh News on Tuesday.

29 December 2021 marks the 23rd anniversary of the Win-win Policy, a compass that completely ended the civil war nationwide and has brought absolute peace and stability to the Kingdom until these days. The purpose is to commemorate national unification, the end of chronic civil war, and total peace to the nation.

In this regard, the Royal Government would like to recommend as follow:

1. All capital-provincial ministries, institutions, public and private institutions shall mark 29 December as a national day, but not a public holiday, effective from 2022 onwards.

2. All capital-provincial ministries, institutions, public and private institutions shall prepare banners and slogans to celebrate the national day.
