Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 29 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said armed forces can not be neutral between government and political parties.

The premier spoke at the inauguration ceremony of the administration building of the Ministry of National Defense on Wednesday.

“We recognize the neutrality of the armed forces and the civil administrations for all the political parties, but we cannot neutralize the armed forces and the civil administrations between the government and the political parties,” the premier said.

“The core strategy to prevent color revolution is to have full control on armed forces and civil administrations,” the premier underlined

Speaking in front of military attachés, the premier said the Cambodian government led by Hun Sen will not allow anyone to carry out a color revolution.

“Cambodia had had enough of wars and that the government will take serious consideration on the matter of national security.”

Premier Hun Sen also warned to fire any army commander, police chief, and governor who does not act against the color revolution.

According to Cambodia’s constitution, prime minister has full rights to command the armed forces.
