Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 13 - Muth Chantha, former chief cabinet of former opposition leader Kem Sokha, said Sam Rainsy and his two other entourages exploited nearly USD 1 million of CNRP’s Sun TV fund and abused funds collected from supporters.

Sam Rainsy, Yim Sovann and Ky Vandara are among the suspects.

"Do not accuse other people over corruption, while you [Rainsy] and your partner are suspected of corruption and stealing millions of dollars,” Muth Chantha wrote on his Facebook on Monday.

Chantha warned the suspects, including the political parties that receive political and financial support from Sam Rainsy to return the exploited money, otherwise, will face criminal lawsuits.

According to Chantha, Sam Rainsy is not active with diplomatic activities as he boasted, but he is very good at creating fundraising program to get money from supporters.

Sam Rainsy fundraised USD 300,000 from the first repatriation plan in November 2019, USD 200,000 from the second repatriation plan in May 2021, USD 250,000 from selling Casio watches, and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars from the National Rescue Movement and the CNRP World Conference.
