Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 15 – Chinese premier Li Keqiang has pledged to provide more COVID19 vaccines to the Cambodian government to fight against the COVID19, speaking in a meeting with Cambodian premier Hun Sen via video conference on Monday.

“Premier Li Keqiang said that in the future, the Chinese government and people will continue to provide COVID19 vaccines and other medical equipment to Cambodia," according to Cambodian premier’s personal assistant Eang Sophalleth.

Cambodia has received about 30 million doses of COVID19 vaccines to inoculate her people, of which China is the biggest vaccine supplier, followed by the World Health Organization through the COVAX Facility, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States.

China has contributed COVID19 vaccines to developing countries more than any other country in the world. So far, China has provided more than 1.7 billion doses to more than 110 countries and international organizations. China’s vaccine donation aims to reach 2 billion doses by the end of 2021.
