Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 27 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen attended the 24th ASEAN-Japan Summit, held Wednesday morning via videoconference, at the invitation of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei.

The summit took note of the substantive progress of ASEAN-Japan cooperation over the previous decades and reaffirmed the commitment to further strengthen the ASEAN-Japan Strategic Partnership based on the heart-to-heart relationship of mutual trust and "equal partnership", according to the outcomes of the summit seen by Fresh News on Wednesday.

“Japanese prime minister recalled his extensive visits to the region over the past years. ASEAN Leaders also congratulated Japan for the successful organization of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic games.”
