Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 14 – On Oct. 1st and Oct. 12th, the two Online Roadshow of Huawei ICT Competition Cambodia 2021-2022 were successfully conducted with participants from the top universities in Cambodia. According to Huawei’s statement, three roadshows will be conducted to introduce Huawei ICT Competition for various universities in Cambodia in the coming days. The main purpose of the roadshow were to introduce the Huawei ICT Competition Cambodia 2021-2022 to all the related universities, lecturers and students, which includes ICT Competition detailed plans, participation values for universities and students, and the ICT talent training program Huawei Cambodia is delivering.
Mr. Charles Che, Vice President of Huawei Cambodia delivered a detailed Presentation of Huawei ICT Competition Cambodia 2021-2022 to all participants to explain the main objective and the process of the competition. He emphasized that Huawei Cambodia organizes this event to promote national talent development for Cambodia and to promote teaching through competition, through organizing teachers and education experts from Cambodia to discuss ICT talent cultivation. Huawei will organize free certified training courses for both IP and Cloud track by Huawei certified instructors, and will provide free certified exam vouchers for students who join the competition to learn and get their professional certificate for their better career in the future.
Winners of the competition will have a chance to compete at the regional and global level with other competitors from other countries. They will also be rewarded with Huawei prize, medals, as well as a certificate recognized by Huawei Cambodia, MOEYS and MPTC.
In the second session; Mr. Thou Bunthoeun, who is a certified Huawei instructor, shared his personal working experience and introduced Huawei learning platform which is consistent with the technological trend on the market. He mentioned that the competition is organized to promote learning, to improve skills, and to facilitate employment through competition. Winners will be regarded as the professional engineers and will be given preference for joining Huawei/partners and might also obtain internship offers from Huawei and its partners. Huawei ICT Competition for Worldwide Students has been successfully organized for six rounds already since the 1st global Huawei ICT Competition in 2015. The latest one in 2020 was with more than 60,000 student participants from around 2000 higher education institutions in more than 90 countries worldwide.
On top of this, Huawei Cambodia has got the official approval and full support from MOEYS and MPTC to organize this event, as a major event for both education and ICT sector. Huawei Cambodia will host another online roadshows on and Tuesday 19th October, 2021. All the talents and students are encouraged to participate for a more prosperous ICT future in the Kingdom.
