Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 2 - After receiving justice in a four-year lawsuit, Cokovic Denis, a Kosovo investor, praised Cambodia's justice system and peace.
“Cambodia has strong core value of its own justice systems are fair and balance to serve and protected me and my businesses. The rule of law is at a high level. Human rights are maximally protected. Institutions are organized and at a high level. I could not ask for anything better”, Cokovic Denis said in a press conference held on 1 October 2021 at the Sofitel Phnom Penh.
The current government under prime minister Hun Sen’s leadership is developing Cambodia and is very protective to all foreign investors whom interested to investing in Cambodia.
“For investor like myself, I saw abundance of opportunities for the people from all walks of life to leverage their skills and expertise to help enhance the government to develop Cambodia and to compete in global markets”, he added.
“Cambodia has the youngest labor force in the world. A large number of young workers have skills for various industries. Currently, premier Hun Sen is pushing hard for higher education to increase human capital to meet the demand of the 21st century work forces including strong support to agriculture industry.”
Cokovic Denis expressed his intention to invite more investors to invest in Cambodia in all areas as Cambodia has great potential, a good government, plenty of natural resources and human resources, great tax incentives and simple foreign investment laws.
With 40 years of political stability and peace, Kosovo investors has invested in 25 Cambodia’s capital and provinces and generated employments for the locals. Cokovic Denis also wanted to bring back overseas Cambodian workers.
“I had no problems [in the prison]! Human rights are protected at a very high level for all prisoners, especially for foreigners, foreigners are maximally protected, from the prison administration and from every prison officer. I would like to take this opportunity to send my regards and thank you for the fair treatment of the entire prison management and every prison officer,” Cokovic added.
He continued that, "I want to express my gratitude to His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni and prime minister Hun Sen and his spouse for their leaderships that provided peace and prosperity to the Kingdom of Cambodia and for all the people in Cambodia. I also want to express my gratitude to all level of court in Cambodia, especially Supreme Court, for helping me finding justice. Lastly, if there is a chance I would like to meet the premier and his spouse to show my gratitude and to express my real commitment in investing in Cambodia. Thank peace.”
Cokovic Denis and two others named Sirluck Choochar and Sompong Sakulthap have been detained for allegations of fraud and conspiracy to commit illegal activities as far back as 2016.
Moreover, Cokovic Denis said about the humanitarian story of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, who allowed the giant ship Westerdam to dock in Cambodia after no country allowed as fear of Covid-19. In addition, Samdech Techo Prime Minister came to greet all passengers without any fears. This is the proof that Cambodia respects human rights very well.
