Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 24 – Khin Pon, former executive vice president of the court-dissolved Cambodia National Rescue Party based in Pailin, announced the defection to the ruling Cambodian People's Party.

"After witnessing the lacks of leadership and patriotism in Kem Sokha and Sam Rainsy, I want to join and serve Cambodian People’s Party under the wise and compassionate leadership of prime minister Hun Sen,” Khin Pon wrote in a letter seen by Fresh News on Tuesday.

Khin Pon made a decision after former leader Kem Sokha’s aide Muth Chantha revealed the 12 points showing that Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha are not “one person”.
