Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 21 – As of 2021, Cambodia has allocated China’s concessional loans worth of USD 2.8 billion on infrastructure development.

The Ministry of Public Works has completed 29 lines of roads, an equivalent to 2,888 km, while National Road No. 71C, National Road No. 10 and Phnom Penh Port are under construction.

Eight bridges built with low-interest loans from the Chinese government include:

1. Koh Kong Bridge, 2004 to 2008
2. Prek Kdam Bridge, 2007 to 2011
3. Prek Tamak Cambodia-China Friendship Bridge, 2007 to 2011
4. Takhmao Cambodia-China Friendship Bridge, 2012 to 2015
5. New Chroy Changvar Cambodia-China Friendship Bridge, 2011 to 2015
6. Sekong Cambodia-China Friendship Bridge, 2012 to 2015
7. Koh Thom Cambodia-China Friendship Bridge, 2013 to 2016
8. Stung Trang-Kroch Chhmar Cambodia-China Friendship Bridge, 2017 to 2021.

These infrastructures have attracted more investors to Cambodia every year and played vital roles in boosting the national economy and people's livelihoods.
