Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 19 – At 7:30am, 19th July, 2021, an Airbus A320 aircraft of Cambodia Airway took off from Phnom Penh International Airport to Ho Chi Minh City, carrying nearly 10 tons of 1,125 cartons of medical supplies donated by the Cambodian Government to the Vietnamese government. H.E. DR. Youk Sambath, the secretary of state, Ministry of Health of Cambodia, led a senior government delegation to represent the Kingdom of Cambodia, to take the flight together with the medical supply.

After a 40 minutes flight, the plane smoothly arrived at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.
The relevant representatives of the Vietnamese government warmly welcomed H.E. Dr. Youk Sambath and her delegation at the airport and held a welcome ceremony on the same day.

The flight returned to Phnom Penh International Airport at 10:40am on the same day, symbolizing that Cambodian Airways had completed the task of transporting the said medical supplies successfully.

The medical supplies delivered by Cambodia Airways include 1 million ordinary masks, 100,000 N95 masks and 100 oxygen concentrators. The head of the Royal Government of Cambodia, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, emphasized that this mass assistance is an expression of the spirit of cooperation and solidarity on behalf of friendly countries to participate in the fight against COVID-19.
