Phnom Penh (FN), Jul. 19 – Vietnamese ambassador to Cambodia Vu Quang Minh said Viet Nam should learn from Cambodia's experience in fighting against COVID19, speaking in a meeting with Men Sam An, president of the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Association.

Vu Quang Minh praised prime minister Hun Sen’s leadership in fighting COVID19 and successful vaccination campaign. He expressed his deep gratitude to the Royal Government of Cambodia for extending assistances to Viet Nam.

Ho Chi Minh City and nearby regions are under tension, and the number of new cases.

As of 18 July 2021, Vietnam recorded over 53,830 cases of COVID19 with 251 deaths.

To assist Viet Nam fight COVID19, Cambodian government donated 1 million face masks, 100,000 N95 masks, 100 oxygen concentrators, and USD 200,000.

The Cambodian Red Cross, chaired by Bun Rany Hun Sen, donated USD 100,000 to Viet Nam Red Cross through the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia, where as president of the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Association Men Sam An also donated USD 50,000.
